MISSION & VISION

United Way of Southwest Virginia fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in Southwest Virginia because they are the building blocks for a good quality of life.

HOW WE DO IT

United Way of Southwest Virginia is driving change in our community by uniting people, businesses, and organizations in order to build strong schools, strong families, and resilient communities. Join us and answer the call.

WHEN DISASTER STRIKES

As we saw with the Hurley and Whitewood floods, rural communities face unique and difficult challenges on the path to recovery. With complicated Federal funding formulas that often disqualify less affluent communities and slow legislative processes that can delay local funding, United Way of Southwest Virginia has a critical role in helping communities recover from disasters.

THE POWER OF MANY

United Way of Southwest Virginia can mobilize an incredible number of people through its workplace giving campaigns, online giving, and local philanthropy. By partnering with local schools, employers, and government agencies, United Way of Southwest Virginia gives everyone a way to help those most in need.

HEALTH, EDUCATION, FINANCIAL STABILITY

United Way of Southwest Virginia is known for investing in innovative programs and initiatives across our three impact areas. Through thoughtful, data-informed studies to access basic needs, we are working to address the most critical issues facing the residents in our communities.
